Subject: Ford Truck engine repair
hello people, happy to join this group and share all experience and knowledge of complet group.
I was referred to you (dealer)by Ford Canada, I
was happy with the initial service, though you might help me to solve my
dilemma. My 2005 f150 started to have louder and louder noise from
engine area, but the truck idle and handle perfectly.
After a long research, and various verbal estimates
from different Ford dealership, on January 17/2012 I brought my 2005
f-150 king ranch at (dealer) Ford, complaining noisy valves
(tic/tic/tic)(?), lost of power and excessesive gas consumption .They
survey and confirm cam phazers repair/replace plus other related parts.
Satisfied I accepted and requested to proceed with repair.
On January 19/2012, I requested that they replace
timing chain and guides as well, they agreed.
They also ask how long ago that I've had the spark plugs replace, which
I responded that they were 6 months old. They mention they were not Ford
parts, the make was "champion", which they then confirm nothing wrong
with them.
On January 20/2012, the Ford service manager confirm
work completed and to pick-up my truck, I complain that the noise was
still there and just as loud as when I brought my truck in for repair.
He responded that the spark plugs was responsible, which I immediately
requested to replace with Ford genuine spark plugs. The truck stayed
there for the week-end.
On January 23/2012, the Ford service manager confirm
work completed and to pick-up my truck, I complain that the noise was
still there and just as loud as when I brought my truck in for repair,
which I was assured that after a few days of driving it will no longer
be there. I paid my invoice ($ 3599.93) cert. check. Driving away from
the dealership approximately 1/2 mile, the eng warning light appeared,
pulling to the side of the road, I phone the Ford service manager, which
he then told me that the engine has to process a long cycle and it will
restore itself. Driving away approximately 1 mile, truck stalls 12
times. I phone the Ford service manager, and he told me to return
tomorrow with the truck, I brought my truck right away after it stall
again another 20 times. Once at the dealership, the Ford service manager
was gone home (end of his shift). I left the truck on the lot.
On January 24/2012, the following day I went to pick-up
my truck. AT 4;30 pm they had not check the truck yet. The Ford service
manager told me that the problem did not have nothing to do with the
repair they did. After three mechanics investigating, the problem was
from a corroded electrical 4 pin connector from the air breather which
regulates the amount of air intake and in the future the electrical
module may have to be replaced. The Ford service manager confirm work
completed and to pick-up my truck, I complain that the noise was still
there and just as loud as when I brought my truck in for repair, he told
me that is normal, and it might be a injector problem.
On February 13/2012, having paid $3,599.93 dollars, my
truck still has the noise just as loud as when I brought my truck in for
repair, does 11 GPM/19+LTR TO 100KLM, and I'm very very disappointed. If
Ford motto is "WE NEVER FORGET WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU", THEN I WARRANT
A BETTER SERVICE AND Repair!!!!!
PLEASE AWAITING A REPLY....
Thank you.
