Time for new tires. Terra Grapplers?
Time for new tires. Terra Grapplers?
I know they've been around for awhile. I searched google, some said they ran them for 50K miles and were a great tire, others said they took a lot of weight to balance and broke belts and other problems.
I currently have a set of 275/60r20 Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's, and they're alright, but they seemed to wear really fast. The Terra Grappler is a decently priced tire (for 20" rims) and seems to be popular. Any reasons why I shouldn't get them in favor of another tire?
I'll also get them in a 305/55r20 as well. Thanks.

Check out the Cooper LTZs also.....I just replaced my Coopers @ 60k miles and they were great tires...I have 305/60/20 Goodyear silent armors now and like them too...they are not as wide as the 305/55/20 but are 34.4 in. tall....But you cant go wrong with the Nittos either...
Don't have a negative thing to say about my TG's. I've had them for ~30K miles, and I bet they go at least another 20K, if not 30K. Granted, I have the LT-series, so they ride a bit stiffer being Load E Range tires @ 50psi, but it's not too much different than the stock tires were. The TG is just as quiet as the stock tires were too, so no "wah-wah" going down the road like some A/T's/M/T's do. They definitely have more bite and less slip in mud than the stock tires did, but that isn't saying much as the stockers were highway tires. Can't go wrong on the TG's, and I haven't heard anything about snapping belts?
BTW, I've got 285/60/18's; but I don't think the jump to 20's is of much consequence.

As long as you dont spin them regularly then they are a great on\off road tire. I abuse my truck and burnout\powerbreak frequently. With these tires you dont get smoke you just get a cloud of rubber. With how I treat them Im looking at replacing them after 20000 miles. I mud frequantly, even tho Im 2wd, and they do decent but they tend to bald out on you and become slicks with the mud trapped in the lugs. Personaly Im thinking of going for mud graps for my next tire =)
