My truck, when hot, sometimes spits, loses power, (like you have turned ignition off and then back on. Expecially when accelerating from a dead stop or up hill. Theft deterant light will come on and you lose power until it goes off. Sometimes for a second or so sometimes a little longer. Have replaced throttle body. No codes. Please help.

 

it might sound strange but check your battery cables. Make sure they are plugged in all the way.

similar problem happened to me about a month ago.
i would drive down the road and i would lose some power and the parking break light would come on. One day all power just shut off and when i opened my hood one of the battery cables was disconnected.

 

Thanks. Have checked all connections. Everything looks good. Even changed alternator.
