Matte Black Vinyl Wrap ?

Played out or not , it has always been a dream of mine to have my truck Flat black.

I ve been looking around at Vinyl wraps lately.

Im looking for that Matte/Satin black with no gloss.

Also have been kicking around the idea of Flat White.

What do you guys think ?

i ve read a quality vinyl job should last 5-7 years.

What kind of care does vinyl require , regular wash and thats it ?

I talked to a well know place here in FL about wrapping my truck in FLAT BLACK then doing GLOSS BLACK tire tracks over the hood.

Well the guy that I talked to said that FLAT WRAP is more for show vehicles and that on my truck thats offroaded and NOT garage kept it would only last 1 year to 2 years MAX.

The gloss would last 5 years and had a warranty for 4 years.

Might want to do alittle snooping before committing

I had a 3/4 wrap on my previous truck with my business logo. I recommend to make sure that the shop has experience with vehicle wraps. This is a little more than just lettering. They should be using a 3M or similar typa spray adhesive around all egdes and seams. Otherwise the wrap can start to pull up.

My wrap was a very high quality 3M wrap and was said to last for 4-5 years. I had it for 2 and it was in great shape when I traded my truck. It was gloss, so i'm not sure about the life of a flat or matt wrap.

As for the care, it's easier than the painted finish. You CANNOT pressure wash. Regular washing. Waxes designed for vinyl will help with the life. If you take it off road, it will likely get dinged from rocks and such.

How much does it cost? This might be a good idea for an easy color change.
