Frozen Caliper?

I noticed there was a slight drag when driving today so I was suspicious when I got out of the truck. Then I smelled burning brakes thought it was the e-brake stuck, I go around to all the wheels and notice the front right wheel is hot as hell and the pad is smoking. I haven't taken the wheel off yet but pretty sure its a stuck caliper. Strange thing is I drove it back home and now its running fine pad is not heating up. I just did the brakes 4k miles ago lubed everything up. You think its the caliper on its way out, should I just go ahead and buy a replacement one? Truck is 7 years old 4x4 5.4.

Found the problem took the pads and caliper off and there was rubber in the lower piston. Looks like the seal broke leaked all the lubricating grease out which made the piston not retract.

Mine did the exact same thing last week-new caliper and brake line. Wasn't too bad of a job really

Yea only 65k on it but I think offroading caused the rubber to rot. Last year I got stuck in a mud hole on that side for about 30mins who knows what got into the caliper.
