Probably about the same but you will have more wear on the bushings on the suspension lifted truck more say.. just from what I have read up on and heard over the years.. no scientific proof there on my part ya kno haha, its probably around the same but its when people do extremes and huge tires is what really makes the difference and of cours how you drive.

More stress on the actual parts themselves. Your making the suspension taller and nothing has changed.. which is bad you have a taller suspension complex. But nothing to accommodate, help or absorb the extra stress put on those areas that are new to increased stress. I can't help but imagine when your turning, vehicle is rolling side to side more stress is now added to this taller suspension. It kinda makes sense if you look at it.

Read what you just typed. That right there implies a leveling kit not a suspension lift.

All of the factory suspension parts are replaced with what we hope is engineered to be stronger aftermarket parts... If I put the exact same wheel and tire combo on that you do with a leveling kit/body lift, there wont be any increased stress on my lift vs your leveling kit. Only difference is your ball joints and CV's are getting stressed and mine arent because the geometry of my lift kit is to factory spec. Its all in what you like and if you are doing your own work like another fella mentioned it will save you money and allows you to run a larger tire, but you also sacrifice the added ground clearance with the body lift vs. suspension. Anyway as you can see from the posted pics from others its going to look good either way you decide. You can always put a suspension on later down the road and have the BL out of the way and run some 40s or 41s!

I am interested in knowing if ( that is if this has ever been brought up ) that installing a body lift on an '04/'08 body would make it more difficult to access the manifolds and install longtube headers, any ideas?

Yeah the body lift makes it pretty easier to deal with the engine. Esp the spark plugs and headers I'm sure.

It would be an easy install, without gap guards I can see my manifolds

I think I want a BL now, since I don't want to revamp my suspension so entirely and would like a little more height for my truck that will never see hard off road conditions, and would look good with a set of 35s. Just got to find a steal on a PA lift and install with some friends.

Is there any good times in the year to purchase this?

Not really, the newer body lifts are over priced to hell. just look for site wide sales and ****** one up when the discount is great enough.

BDS also has a body lift, not sure how prices are on those compared to performance accessories.

are you leveled out yet on the new truck?
