That sucks man, but Im glad youre ok.

As for the insurance company, do you have a buddy thats a lawyer? Sometimes getting a nice but firm letter on Law Firm Letter head is enough to make people be very cooperative.

Finally had a nice discussion with the Adjuster yesterday. She made me an offer I could not refuse.
Signing the truck away today.

Sad to see it go out that way. It gave me flawless service for 8.5 yrs.
GREAT TRUCK!

Well, now the search begins for a replacement.

The Lariat was great but I'm thinking of buying an '04-'05 FX4 this time.

used pricing

I had my 05 Lariat with 35K on a new motor for sale here in Alberta for about 1 month. Started at 13500, went down to 10k OBO, ended up selling it to the only guy that was interested for $9250.00. Seems that there is a glut of used pick ups available. So if you see one you like but the asking price is high it has likely been for sale for quite sometime.. FS

Glad you're finally getting taken care of.

Are you sticking with an extended cab again or going to a supercrew?

I'm sticking with the extended cab. I have a Leer camper shell for the 6.5' bed, and Husky liner floor mats for the extended cab. Luckily the shell wasnt on the truck for the accident. I'll repaint it to match whatever color I end up with.

I also have a set of 2011 FX4 wheels and tires I had recently bought and installed on my Lariat.
They will look better on an FX4 IMO.

Oddly enough I'm finding that '04-5 FX4s and Lariats with the "extended cab" seem to be rare around here. Not too many for sale. Plenty of supercrew trucks.
Cant use a supercrew.

I may have to travel to find one I like.

Update! Found myself nice replacement today.
Bought a 2005 Lariat super cab 4x4. It's Arizona Beige and in real nice shape.

It has limited slip and a huge gas tank(35gallons?) I think. My dead truck had the regular reared so I'll enjoy the added traction for a change.

I'll post a pic or or two as soon as I teach myself how. Lol
