Spark plug recommendations: NJ NY PA
Does anyone have any recommedations for Ford dealerships or independant shops to get a spark plug change in the NJ-NY-PA area?
The first dealership I called seemed less than ethused and could not give me an actual quote. He said it will cost $345 plus $69 an hour for any that break. He said potentially there could be a few hours labor and "they almost always break."
So does anyone have any recommendations for places to go in this area?

Play it safe and take it to a professional.
If you haven't already done so, call around to more places. Tell them straight off the bat that you're NOT GONNA PAY A LOT for this spark plug change! And you don't want a per hour rate. You need to get them to quote you a flat fee or you'll be walking out with a $700+ bill.

It's the 'Professionals' that are breaking the bulk of them - they are on the clock, cut corners, rush, don't follow the TSB, never heard of the Lisle tool, and generally do not give a coon's cajones - you name it.
Look around on here - we have young fellers doing these with zero issues.
Example: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...ighlight=plugs
We have our very own '88 doing scores of them in his sleep with the next best thing to a 100% success rate
Faq the 'Perfessionals ....
OP - save yer hard-earned money - go for it - grab some friends and git 'er did. You CAN.
Further - The Lisle 'safety net' takes the drama out of what once was an onerous task. But is no more.

Rambo, You can do it. Eye of the tiger, man.
Transcript of an earlier conversation between Rambo and the dealer....
Rambo: I'd like to get a quote on a spark plug change.
Ford dealer: Is that for a F150?
Rambo: Yes.
Ford dealer: Spark plug changes are the baddest job in the world. We need at least $350. to start!
Rambo: These plugs don't look so bad to me.
Ford dealer: What did you say, Paper Champion? These plugs will beat you like dog, a dog, you fool!
