Hesitation in gauges when starting truck

When I start my 2005 S-crew, the needles on the gauges hesitate before "engaging". I mean they stutter for about 3-5 seconds before coming on (I have a few second video clip I can email someone if they want to see it and might be able to help me).

Possibly the battery is low/alternator failing. Put a charger on the battery and see what you get.
