I am thinking about trying some led tail lights i found on ebay, however they are significantly cheaper than other brands like recon. anyway they are "sonar" led brake lights...

funny, i was just looking at these yesterday. i have a black truck and have contemplated these taillights and some harley headlights to black out some more of the truck.

im sure these lights are fine. what i liked about them over the other smoked taillights is the led area is dark too. all the other led smoked tail lamps have the crystal-white leds that show through when the light isnt lit. i hate that. i want a totally smoked led that doesnt show anything other than black until i hit the brakes/lights.

if you like them, id get them. the price is good. im still considering them. if you do get them, plz post some pics, id love to see them.

According to that ebay ad, you have to cut the 3rd brake light harness to attach to their light. As well, you would think that the LED tail lights would come with LED reverse lights. Whats up with the 2 red reflectors down towards the bottom of the lights?

Keep it DOT compliant. All tail lights have to have 90* of red reflectivity up to 500'
