OEM ford here. No problems. Paid around 290 from tasca, shipped around a year ago.

I thought about going this route, but instead, I think I'll just order a driver's side glass from a '12 that has the integrated blind spot mirror. I don't tow anything worthy of true trailer mirrors (plus I just PTM'd my caps about a year ago), the blind spot mirror will be sufficient.

One other thing--I've mentioned it elsewhere about the shimmying (Chinese/Japanse) mirrors. I replaced my passenger side mirror after busting it out at Sonic. Stock mirror shuddered like crazy going down the road, but once replaced, the mirror glass is clear as day, with no vibration. My driver's side mirror, which came on the truck, still shimmys like crazy--I'm wondering if my truck CAME with the cheap glass...

You should check the 3 nuts holding your mirror. I made sure mine were tight and those china mirrors are rock solid! They even take some force to bend them in.

I'll check that this weekend, but another thing is--the passenger mirror lost the "clips" when it busted, so my friend Robert and I took about 30 minutes easing those teeth on the back of the new glass into place in the mounting hole. I was thinking that perhaps the clips actually make the mirror LESS sturdy and MORE prone to vibration.

I did the PTM project on my caps, so I reckon I'll remove all that again, too, and try my driver's side glass WITHOUT the clips on. If it doesn't move (or at least not as much), the clips are staying off.

I don't know, I just know one side vibrates and the other one doesn't...if I've got the box, I'll see if there is any info about the glass I bought. Ill try to ask the parts guys about OEM mirrors/housings the next time in there.

I bought these mirrors and have had them on for about 2 weekes. So far I like the they don't vibrate and I retained all options like puddle light power and turn signals only lost power fold. They are nice the quality is good no defects that I could find and the people at Crashandsmash are very nice just call them up they will help you out. If anyone wants to see pics I could get some pics tomorrow.

My 2008 WXLT has the power mirrors. No fold, no heat, no puddle lamp, no signal. What, if any, modifications would I need to make to get these to work? Is there a detailed write-up on it? Is it plug n play?

My 07 F150 only had power mirrors before and there was no wiring for turn signals, heat, etc. So i had to wire in the turn signals into the harness myself.

The way i did it, is with speaker wire (about 16 or 18 awg) and you strip about 1" off and stick it inside the empty pins you need, (make sure the wire does not go past the hole on the other end otherwise you will run into issues with shorting it out) and then you zip tie your speaker wires to the harness wires so it doesn't move. I lucked out because i only had to do a short run of speaker wire to my LED door handle turn signal wires... but i believe the turn signal wires are in both kick panels.

For turn signals, your positive feed goes into pin 10. I dont remember what the turn signal ground was.. but if you look at the towing mirror plug, you can match up what pins are needed.

These from Crashandsmash are plug and play for all 07-newer and for 04-06 you have to move the pins around just like the ones from tasca. I had an 06 that I bought the ones from tasca when they were cheaper but I honestly can't tell the difference that these aren't from ford.
