Something to look out for

Just telling everyone about this cause it could have been really bad... My truck has a six inch lift w 2.5 leveling. Dont know it had to do with it but, still check. The hard brake line on the frame by the stearing arm, came loose. Dont know how long it was loose but the stearing arm rubbed a hole through it. Needless to say I was going about 85 when I found out... Was able to e brake, and coast around the grass long enough to slow down.. And for the record. E brake doesnt help much at all. Lol. Just wantrd everyone to know what too look for so noone gets hurt.. Have a good one, peace

Similar thing happened to me on my Tahoe with 33's. Steel braided brake hose came loose from the loom and was rubbing against the front tire. On the freeway coming down a grade, I applied the brakes and the hose burst. A combination of downshifting, pumping the brakes and applying the ebrake and I was able to limp to the exit.

Its good advice for all to check their brake line/hoses.
