Aluminum Oval

Came across something cool today at work. We have a 2012 Explorer that needs a grille and new Blue Oval. Upon further investigation they are now plastic backed with an embossed aluminum cap instead of chromed plastic !!!! so I'm thinkin if I put some paint stripper on it I can paint it whatever color then lightly sand paint off Ford logo and clear the whole thing. Here's the front one done, I'll step by step pic the rear rear one. sand lightly in one direction and the letters look like brushed aluminum.

That looks really good. I would love to see a step by step on the rear emblem, I planning on doing an overlay but this looks much better.

I like the new oval so much I bought wifey a 2012 Explorer for Valentines Day lol. Sooo long piece of rusty junk Envoy..
