has any one ordered coils off of ebay before? i found some that are brand new and say they are motorcraft brand and it is a set of 8 for 64.99 shipped some thing about this seems fishy the guy has a good score but i saw a few other people selling motor craft coils for 54 bucks each. so either these are used, not motor craft or they fell of the truck. any one have any experience with this. the guys name is mapdistributors and the link for the buy it now is

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-4-6L-5-...item2a164f3d79

any input would be nice. im throwing trouble code p0305 i think it was misfire on cylinder 5 so i swapped all the plugs and it needed it like a crack head needs a crack rock. so i changed the plugs and it didnt fix it still misfiring so im gonna try changing coils and a fuel filter since it needs that also. any thing else i should look at if it doesnt fix it after coils?

Those that are pictured are for the 2 valve 5.4L (DG-508). If you have the 3 valve motor you need the DG-511. Ebay "Global" Automotive or "Uneek" Supply...for around $100 for a set of 8. If it was me I wouldn't go near a set that cheap. Here are the other ones: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DG511-SET-8-...item2a18ea35e3 Looks like only a 30 day warranty on these though

i have the 4.6l v8 i went to rockauto and they were 174 shipped for a set. i cant really afford that right now since i have to spend a grand on tires can i get just 1 and replace the one that is misfiring for a few weeks till i can afford all of them or should i get them all. i really need tires the bands are showing in my front drivers side and i dont care if i crash when im in the truck but i dont want some thing to happen when my girl and her daughter are in the truck im more concerned about there safety then mine.

See what one costs at your local parts store. There is nothing wrong with replacing just one, though you may have others go out lateror maybe not.

also would this cause my bad fuel mileage? i put 50 bucks in the other day and gave me just about half a tank. i drove 74 miles and my low fuel light comes on. it seems like it is burning fuel alot faster then normal.

People have been having mixed results with the cheap Ebay coils. If you do order them, get the 10 pack so you have a couple of spares.

these ones are from global and i was told they are good. i can get 1 coil from autozone with a 1 year warranty when these coils have lasted 8 years. the ones from global supply have a life time warranty. i may just order 1 for now then order more when i have a few more bucks

Good luck trying to get Global to honor any warranty, according to many members here. That is why 'glc' advised you to get a 10 pack to take care of any bad ones bad ones. I mistakenly sent over a $100 to global through a mistake on my part with PayPal and I can't even get them to credit me back one dime. Just giving you fair warning !!!
