avoid a body lift.

for the 04+ trucks the kits are 300+ and install runs more than a suspension lift install usually b/c they are a PIA and no one wants to do it.

what do you want out of the lift?

just a basic kit? if so, any brand will be fine. I had a BDS on my 07, and the kit was awesome. Beat the snot out of it offroad and never had troubles out of it.

Never heard of any issues out of the pro comp, fabtech, rancho (4" kit), or really any others.

If you want coil overs (about 1k on top of the basic lifts price), fabtech and pro comp are your easiest solutions. You can do any brand and put coil overs on it though.

Rough country, i'm not a fan of, in the 3/4 tons and 1 tons they are a POS and break. Never heard of any issues on the 1/2 tons though.

Zone is a newer brand, i've heard they are popular on the NBS chevys and members over on those forums have no issues. Only one member here (that i know of) has one and he just got it so it's to early to say and positives or negatives about it.

Thanks i was looking the RC and zone up and they are evenly priced and then the pro comp is just alittle more about 300 more. Im not looking for something i can take out and beat the brakes of the truck but im looking for the look and still able to get me back to that fishing hole or hunting spot... if that makes any sense
