I'm looking for a new front bumper and grille.... but I've noticed that some are listed as 04-08 and some as 04-05 and 06-08. Does it matter, other than the different fog lights? I don't really care what fog lights it has, just that it will mount up to my 06.
There seems to be 2 different upper bumper covers/valances too, one that works with fender flares and one without them. I don't have them, but do I have to track down the valance that fits without them, or will the one made to work with them also work?
Then the lower plastic part... I have tow hooks, so I know I have to find the one that fits around them.

Also need a grill with the surround and at least the left side chrome headlight.

I believe the 04-05 have different mounting brackets/hardware than 06-08. So yes there is a difference other than the fog lights. Check out www.lmctruck.com

 

The bumper brackets and the mount points (plates) welded to the frame are different between the 2004-05 and the 2006-08 trucks. I'm not sure about the bumper itself other than rectangle vs round fog lights if it even has them. It's the mount on back that bolts to the bumper with a bunch on smaller bolts to the bumper rear lips and the way that bracket then mounts to the frame itself.

The difference in upper bumper covers (below grille, above steel bumper) for "with flares" vs "without" is holes for mounting the flares aren't there on the "without" version.
