Is it really an O2 sensor problem
I am looking to see if someone can confirm/verify.
My check engine light came on. I took it to AutoZone to read the codes and I got 2, P0060 and P0158
They indicated that it is the o2 sensor bank 2 downstream
Does this sound right ?
Is it easy to replace and who offers the best price?

I don't start chasing CEL problems until they have shown up twice.
Clear the code, drive it until it codes a second time, if it codes a second time.
Then we can discuss what is wrong with it.

No, it was not raining.
The funny thing is; I took it in for my inspection/emission sticker here in NH. They said that it failed because of the front brakes, so I let them change those, I just did not have the time. They changed both rotors and pads.
Anyway, the test indicated that all emissions were fine. When I started the truck up I noticed that the check engine light was on. I said to the mechanic "did they forget to hook something back up". He said let me read the codes and of course that is what I indicated here. He cleared them and they came right back on.
I will clear them again and see what happens.
Let me ask you this, I was watching a utube video on how to clear your codes without a reader. I usually just disconnect the negative cable for an hour or so. They were saying that disconnect both cables and then touch them together, obviously away from the battery, and it would reset everything. Then just hook them up again.
Is this a valid way to clear the codes ?

Yes those are valid ways to clear codes. The safest is to disconnect the neg. cable and wait 15-30 minutes. If the codes are coming back after that then post he codes up here and someone will be able to offer advice on the problem and possible solutions.
if you are in southern nh near 93 exit 3 I can read the codes for you and clear them, but if you have done multiple resets already look to make sure the sensor is plugged in, if it is, for the 45 bucks replace it

Is there away to pull the codes via the display by holding in the reset button. I know that when I do hold the reset button and toggle the key 3 times it goes into a "test" mode. I just don't know what I am looking at.
I can always run down to AutoZone and half them read it.
What size is wrench/socket is the o2 sensor. I noticed that AutoZone had the special socket and it was 7/8 - does that sound like the correct one for this truck?

I just ordered a new scan tool that will read/test 02 sensors.
Without access to a full blown Snap-On SCANUS or other diagnostic tool, for 60 bucks it is cheaper than guessing.
I'm going to keep this new one in the F150 along with a spare C.O.P.
