Remote Canister Filter kit ?

What do you guy's think about this setup for a 2005 5.4L ? Yes it is costly $380
This CM Remote Canister Filter kit is for 3/4-16 thread standard gasket size (apox 2-5/8") spin-on filter applications. This kit gives you everything you need to install a CM canister oil filter. The kit contains a billet remote CM oil filter housing, a CM high flow fine filtration filter element, a 90 degree rotating billet aluminum block adapter, 8 feet of stainless steel braided hose and all of the necessary fittings.

8 MICRON OIL FILTER

For $380 there are other mods I'd rather do.

Since almost every modern engine can go 200,000 to 300,000 miles with just occasional maintenance, I think it's overkill.

Is this a simple install? I would consider it if it was and went on sale. Honestly I find the location of the oil filter a bit of a pain to get to. I do use the K&N oil filter with the nut to make it a bit easier. I also use the futo drain valve.

If you would stop using Fram filters, you wouldn't have that problem. If you want to use a remote, use a remote kit that takes a stock Motorcraft spinon filter like the older trucks had.
