STX Mirrors Dripping

Hey y'all. Since I bought my truck I've noticed my side mirrors seem to "leak" dirt and grime down my door. Took it for a wash today and after sitting for five minutes out of the wash, it had dripped down the door again. I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if the other style mirrors do this as well

Typical problem with plastic over metal. Door handles, bed caps, and mirrors usually do it.

The guy I sold my "old" STX/XL mirrors to had the same problem with his old mirrors, if it is the hand adjustable flag style mirrors your talking about.
His bolts were very corroded as well, which added to the amount of grime and dirt streaks constantly dripping from the mirrors.
On that note, I did not have that problem yet on my '08, but did replace with some '09 XL mirrors which mounted up great. I suspect the seal/gasket between the mirror housing and door lended itself to moisture getting in and causing the problems.

The front emblems on my Dad's '07 AND my '08 have "bled" a line down the front fender, but no running from our mirrors, yet.

I'll have to take it apart and see what I can do, hopefully it just needs to be tightened up, parts for these things cost an arm and a leg around my parts and finding salvage parts is as tough as finding the holy grail
