Install a keyless Keypad

Ok I have a 07 XLT. I found a keyless keypad door handle the other day. Is it possible and what is involved in adding this to my truck. Thanks

I added it to my 2005. Of course, you have to remove the door panel and install the bucket/handle. On mine the plug in was there. I had power as it would lock and it would light up, but it would not unlock. The dealer tried to run a program, but it failed. So, they checked out the BSM on the rear wall behind the back seat. They told me they found a loose ground wire, cost me $100 for their work. Worked fine after that.

Until the battery dies in about 2 years, then you have a 72 dollar stick on paperweight. The battery in those units are not replaceable.

I put one on my wifes 08 fusion, after 2 years I had to remove it cause it died. Her new '11' fusion has it built in like the 150's do, only way to go if you use it regularly.
