Power Steering Fluid

Hey all,
It feels as though my steering wheel has gotten a 'little' stiffer when turning so I thought I'd check my Steering Fluid. What I found was that it is about 1/4" below the 'Min Level' in the reservoir. Would this effect how the steering feels or should I look for something else? Also, what brand of PSF should I get if going to AutoZone? I don't think they carry Motorcraft...
Thanks,
Steve

I just went to get some steering fluid and noticed that the wheel does not spin back to center as freely as it did after taking a turn... ???

Found the problem... Steering Shaft U-Joint. I am covered under an ESP so it will cost me $100 deductible. Was told it is around a $300 part - $500 bill with labor. Yikes... Also read on here on another thread I could have soaked it with lubricant to temp fix it...

You don't use PS fluid, you are supposed to use Mercon V ATF. Check your owner's manual!

Dunno, but it's not the right stuff.
