Finally fixed my exhaust leak at the heads, all while doing my u joints and found it wasn't the U joint that was bad. the flange the U joint sits in and bolts to the rear end was worn out. Just bought a new one on tasca today but friday I noticed I heard my brakes grinding....of course it looks like the caliper had been sticking and the inner pad on the right rear was metal to metal. Ordered some new R1 concepts rear drilled slotted and zinc plated rotors and some wagner thermo quiet pads. having my buddy hook me up with the centric hubs in the front and R1 rotors in the front as well (ordered the rears because it would take him 2 weeks to get them for me at a discount)
So now hopefully the drive shaft doesn't go through my bed while I grind to a stop before I get the parts in...
Man once these things hit 175,000 miles they just fall apart
next will be gear oil and fix the dash light that are on (airbag, abs, ebrake, battery)
Plan to build the engine next summer should be up to 200,000 miles and put another 200,000 miles on it

Sorry to hear that......but at least you found the problem and after you get your brakes fixed your mpgs should go up........let us know how you like the R1's.....been looking to upgrade the sport track with them......
Take care and good luck!

I have gone through 2 sets of front rotors from rotorpros but they seem to not be doing business anymore. I have heard a lot of good things about r1, and hopefully they last the 178,000 miles the stock ones have
You seem to be putting a little over 25k on your truck per year and based on what you are replacing these are things that should be going about now. The light on the dash is a bit annoying but everything else seems pretty routine to me for a truck with the miles you have.
Yep I fully expect all of these "maintenance" issues not complaining about it one bit the falling apart thing was meant to be sarcastic. Just posting about this stuff because I'm bored.
I know how that goes. I just got the spark plugs replaced and the 4wd fixed (cleared codes and it worked). Then I needed to get the rearend rebuilt. Then I had to buy tires and at this point I spent $2k in the past 3 weeks on the truck.
Today my backup sensors started being screwed up.
Hopefully this type of crap doesnt keep happening. I love my truck and plan on keeping it a long time but cant afford to keep fixing it all the time. Its an '06 that just hit 96k today.
