console to cooler conversion

was bored and looking through you tube came across this. they did it on a raptor but apparently it can be done on any ford with a console.

thats so cool ! i want to mount a cooler somewhere, im always going places with refreshments.

kinda makes me wish i had bought a bed toolbox instead of a tonneau cover, id weld in a little divider, and put a 12v cooler in there, and hard wire it with a switch in the cab, that way i could lock it and keep beers in there.

yeah its a great mod to have. just not sure about the whole ice thing in the console. i was trying to figure out where i could mount a cooler as well. since i only have a scab and there really isnt room in the back of the cab, I wish there was a way to mount a 12v cooler inside the console since it is so big inside.

I really like ur idea though and make a switch for it. that sounds bad ***. but i just bought a roll bak cover for my truck as well.

Watch him "drill" the hole, he must have a 2 foot long bit

you don't see him actually caulk the corners

There is no way that if you blindly drill a hole in the bottom of your console that it will come out of that cross member perfectly like it did

The air bag module is under the console

Oh and the part number isn't real....

But thanks for your opinion

This certainly can be done, but I highly suggest against it. It is just that this video is fake and the ford part is fake.

Besides I would rather put a fridge in there out of a Flex...

The only problem I see ( correct me if im wrong)is the flex fridge is cooled by the air conditioning. My moms got something similar in her dodge journey and it really doesn't make the drinks ice cold. Id rather have something I can plug or hard wire in to make my drinks ice cold on the way to havi

Yea it would be perfect if it didn't run of the ac. Especially since I installed a 12v plug socket in side my center console. Its the perfect size to plug in on the way to the river. Damn.!!!! Well if u come up with any items let me know. I appreciate ur feedback
