Question Removing Front Bumper for OFF`ROADING

I have been wanting to do some light off roading in my FX2 and i`m worried about that stock street front bumper that it has. Is it a good idea to just take the bumber off and go offroad with it off?

You considering serious off roading that you want to remove the bumper? That's pretty serious for a stock height 2wd PU don't you think? Better to get some height under the truck I think, maybe a set of stock 2" rear blocks for a FX4 and either a set of FX4 shocks or aftermarket. The front FX4 shocks will raise the front.

I'm not sure a stock 2wd can do anything extreme enough to endanger the front bumper. Unless you're trying to see how steep of a ditch you can drive into without your front end ramming the ground. I would think the worst you could do is damage the plastic strip on the bottom of the front bumper which is flimsy at best

Cool

When getting gnarly off-road I remove both bumpers and the windshield!
I also like to make sure I'm in a two-wheel drive.
