I have been following this before but lost track for a while. Great work and great look BTW. I haven't read all those pages but I gather the quality is not up to snuff on the fiberglass? Did you have to do a lot of work to get good even gaps at the door and hood to fender edges?
I am repairing a collision damaged 2010. I was considering this kit as I have to buy a lot of new sheetmetal anyway. However, even though I am a fellow bodyman and fiberglass man I am getting to old to have headaches making everything fit! Appreciate your opinion.

Hehe , read this thread from the start. Mcneils stuff is awful. The fit and finish leaves much to be desired! Its great for a truck you want to beat on offroad jumping anthills etc. Not so great if you want a truck to look somewhat factory. I have had to fill gaps where they have cut too much away. The hood is flimsy, you can't use factory hood shocks because it will bow up in the sun. They mold in ugly fender vents they make , I had to cut those out and use the factory ones. The list goes on.

Spend the extra dollars and get factory parts , or at least used factory raptor parts, they're out there just have to search.

I am having a bit of fun. I asked the OP on his thoughts about mcNeils quality. Here is what he said [and I believe him]:

So then I sent an e-mail to McNeils and acted like an interested customer. I asked about fit and quality. Here was their reply:
Dale,
We do make the 6.5 Bedsides non Trophy style, we don’t have any pictures of them to post on the website yet. I will make some phone calls to see if I can get some pictures of the bedsides for you. The Hood is $350, The Fenders are $350 for the pair and the bedsides are $650 for the pair. Our fiberglass is some of the best on the market, We strive to have “Lexus Lines”. It is street quality.

Thanks,

Mark McNeil

Which guy is Mark? The little son that is told to say those things?
I wrote back and referred him to this thread. Asked him to defend himself. It has been 5 days. No response.

Lexus lines! WTF is that? Maybe a wrecked lexus. They dont like this thread. Powercell posted this thread up on their Facebook page a while back , McNeil wasted no time removing it. I have talked to a few people that have approached me after buying mcneils stuff and let me tell you they sure didnt have praise for them at all!

Over on Raptorforumz.com Idleone replied to my thread :

" Good luck getting that McNeil stuff to fit. I had over 200 hours into my Nissan to get the fiberglass to look good."

"They can rest assure I will never order anything from them ever again.

LOL This is fun. Actually their idea of making a "Raptor conversion kit" is a good one, if only they had followed through on the quality. I am repairing a collision damaged 2010 Lariat. I need 2 front fenders and one boxside. Their kit is perfect for me, EXCEPT it is junk!

I couldnt agree more , if their quality and service was top notch I would probably have become a McNeil dealer and sold a BAJILLION raptor kits for them. The whole reason I bought this truck was for the sole purpose of doing this conversion. McNeil really dropped the ball. This thread could have worked out to be a great positive for them but sad to say it went the other way.

And had you became a dealer for them, and since you are in the east, [I think] I would have bought the kit from you.
Instead today I am calling Ford and spending my money on stock sheet metal.
YA HEAR ALL THIS MCNEILS ?????
