Mounted my Aerocatch hood pins , they sit kinda high but they are located directly over the header panel for the strongest pin mount location. Im painting the center section of the hood flat black so they will blend in nicely

I got my pigtails from ford for the lower brake/park (the 04-08s dont have a 2nd lower brake/park in the tailights) and wired up my corner LED's.

All these little things take time!

How did you open up the tailgate section to allow room for the thicker bedsides? Did you fully remove the original bedsides or leave the tops and front section? What have you got planned for extending the fender well to meet the new bedside? Any thoughts on stiffening the bedsides?

... bedsides...

... bedsides...
I removed the whole old bedside , I drilled out every spot weld. I trimmed a little material out of fiberglass bedsides on the inside edges very carefully where it had thick uneven spots , and then I hammered the lips where the bedsides attach outward slightly to give it more room. The gaps around the tailgate are perfect (after i took them on and off about 100 times!). After riveting in all the factory spot weld locations the bedsides feel very solid! I used the old fender stays that came off my old bedsides and made them work with the new bedsides to add some strength to the fenders.I left a small piece of the old inner fender and I'm going to use some of the Gap Guard material and make some rear fender liners to attach to it and the bedsides. Since McNeil molded in the fender flares the factory raptor inner fenders wont meet the bedsides. I'm going to check with my boys at ford today , if the factory inners aren't too bad I may get some and see how close they come.

Ordered the factory Raptor inner front fender liners and rear today, the rear is a 2 piece deal , the fronts are $110 a piece at 10% over cost , boy ford is proud of those! Ill keep you posted when they arrive. I ordered the F150 emblem to match the raptor emblem in gray. I also ordered my factory Ford emblem backup camera sucker was $300. I picked up the Raptor capless filler-neck too.

I was checking out the two-piece rear setup... pretty pricey as well... but I guess I'll need to splurge. Also I've heard some negative experiences with the capless gas filler when used off road.

The filler neck is too short on the stock truck , so the only one the raptor has is the capless one, Ill be fine , not off-roading here except for driving up the beach on the outer banks twice a year.

Checked into this last week, and the part number for the Raptor cap is the same as the F150. I think all the added length is in the filler neck

I had to get the later gas door and housing setup since the 04-08 is smaller. The filler neck was around $100 , retails for close to 200.
