Drivetrain maintenance Q on 2005 4x4

My 2005 has almost 67k on it and I was wondering if there is any maintenance you guys would recommend doing on the drivetrain/suspension to keep it in top shape. Like lubricating axles, 4x4 parts, etc that I may be able to do on my own. I've owned the truck since it had 37k on it and have never lubed any of the axles or any other drivetrain parts.

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
Tom

I'd check the operation of the IWE's up front. There's really nothing you can do to maintain them short of putting in 4hi every month or so. If the solenoid up on the firewall goes bad though, you can loose one or both of them in an afternoon. You can check to make sure the vacuum lines that run to each IWE are secured properly and that the rubber vacuum hoses are not dried out or cracked. If they are, replace them. If they aren't, a little Armor All won't hurt a thing.

Check the balljpoints, tie rod ends and check the sway bar end link for breakage. Replace with Moog stuff with greasable zerk fittings (the BJs) and at 67k, I'd check to be sure those OEM shocks need replacing (probably).

Thanks for the replies guys. I will check out the vacuum lines that go to the IWE's for sure and I'll look around for anything worn out. I replaced the stock shocks with Bilstein 5100's about 15k ago on all 4 corners so they should be fine.

Are there any zerk fittings I need to grease up on the stock suspension?
