Weird noise???

Ok I just got to TX from WA State, I was pulling a Uhaul car hauler behind me with my wife's 91 Jeep wrangler YJ on it. So I would assume that is about 1/2 my weight limit. I started the trip off driving faster than I should have but by the end I slowed down some so lets just say I was driving the way I should have been the entire time with a load that size. Now I have a constant clicking noise under my hood that gets louder when you step on the gas pedal. Any ideas? I was thinking head gasket or even exhaust leak? Thanks.

TEX

Could be an exhaust leak in the manifolds, thats a pretty common problem with these trucks. Also, it could be the cam phasers which are also a common problem.

I've had an exhaust manifold go bad and it sounded like what you're describing. I would just let an exhaust shop take a look. They can tell you

I have a2005 with only 75,000 miles on mine and it just started to do the same thing last weekend. i took out my inner fender liner to check out the manifold and that is definitly my problem i could hear it. I am planning on just putting headers on it from banks...seeing as though the stock manifolds dont last.
