2005 F150 Starter Solenoid Fuse

I have a 2005 F150 5.4 SuperCrew. It would not start this morning. All I heard was a click sound coming from the right side fuse panel. I figured it was the battery and attempted a jump. Still nothing. I checked the fuses and found fuse#101 blown (30 amp starter solenoid). Changed it out and the truck started, however, it seemed to have higher RPMs at idle and then the truck wouldn't shut off. The only way to get the truck to shut off was to pull fuse #101 and then switch the key to the off position.

Sounds as if you have a short in the switch and maybe that is what blew the fuse in the first place.
