Ill have to keep an eye on it. Normally its pretty random and I dont catch it all the time. I never know when its going to come on either since its intermittent.

Good job in being patient for the LFC to come up

LFC 42 is the front impact severity sensor.
Here is a great thread with pictures of the location, and the corrosion to the front impact severity sensor.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...tc-42-fix.html

the P/N I have for it is : 6L3Z-14B004-AA , check to make sure this P/N has not been replaced by a newer revision ( the Trademotion system should show this, but email / call the parts place to verify prior to ordering ).

Take a good read of the thread above, just to be sure it is the sensor, not the connector having the issue.

This is somewhat common, thus the reason I use it in the LFC example.

I bought the sensor this afternoon at the local Ford dealer. The parts guy said its rather common and he keeps 3 or 4 in stock all the time. $67+ tax.

good to hear, just keep an eye on it, maybe try some bumpier roads, just to make sure it is not a connector issue also ?

Some of the roads I drove it on last night and today were quite rough and I even hit some speed bumps. Still off. Hopefully it will stay off.

I didnt see any corrosion on the connector at all.
