FOB doesn't lock driver side door

Had my basketball shoes stolen out of my gym bag in my truck yesterday, which perplexed me because I always lock my doors with the FOB after I get out of of it. Well, long story short this morning after hitting the lock button twice on the FOB to make the horn sound, the door still opened right up. At work this morning I was able to lock the door with the key, though it took some force to do it.

Anybody had this issue before? I see RockAuto has door lock solenoids for about $25, think that's the problem? Thanks!

Note: I should mention when I press the 'lock' button on the FOB I can hear stuff happening in the door, like it's trying to lock it, but it doesn't happen.

pull your door panel off (inside panel) and see what you can find... sounds like something is wrong

Also take a good look at the exterior lock... did someone jam it with a screwdriver???

Sounds like either the Lock Actuator is broken or something came apart and is jammed preventing the rod from moving.

Only way to find out is to remove the door panel.

How about pressing the last two buttons or just hitting the "lock" button iside the door before closing it. I very very rarely use the FOB for locking it.

Could be a simple plastic rod clip fell off?

The 'lock' button inside the door doesn't seem to work either, so it must something with electronics or the mechanism inside the door I would guess, since I can still lock it manually with my key.

The 'unlock' on the FOB does seem to work though, which is somewhat confusing to me as well. Seems like if it were an actuator or solenoid, it would be all or nothing, but I could be wrong about that.

To me, one who hasn't had a door panel off my truck, that sounds strange. It'll unlock once locked, but it won't lock.

I'ld have to pull the inner panel and work it some if it were mine.

Sorry, guess I'm no help..
