P0022 Error Code
I have a 2008 F150 4x4 Super Crew 5.4L Triton w/ 45k miles and am having some issues.
I changed the oil, filter and air filter this weekend and as usual ran the truck for about 10 minutes to check for leaks which there were none. After driving on the highway I stopped at a toll booth and the RPMs dropped and the truck shook. I immediately pulled over and checked the oil level etc which was still normal. Fearing that I had not put the proper oil in I changed it again and still had the same issue. I got home, disconnected the battery for a few hours and fired it back up. Ran fine for about 20 minutes but rough at low RPM’s or when I stop. Placing it in neutral and briefly increasing the RPM’s seems to clear it up for a moment. The Check Engine light finally came on and the Error code is:
P0022 Intake cam timing on bank 2 over retarded
Last night I replaced the cam position sensor on bank 2 and the truck is doing the same thing. What else am I missing here
