I thought about this as a problem as Central Texas has been 103* so maybe a lot of of it evaporated. Either that or they broke when I did the 1/8 of a turn before soak which is possible. Glad that i got them out, the lisle tool is really an ingenious idea.

HT plug removal

Motorcraft and Autolite have now released HT plugs with an improved stregth shell to prevent this from happening.

Not much to say, 3 months ago, Autolite and Motorcraft released a better design higher strength shell. If you follow the installation instructions and use these plugs, you will never break another one. All Motorcraft/Autolite plugs now on the shelf are the new design.
