I may swap it up later, gunna drive it like this for a bit really looks better in person and is really starting to grow on me. It is a little different then most I see.

Is it really that bad?

It's your truck, do whatever you like the best. However, it's just a matter of the surround bleeding into the sight line of the hood that makes it look over the top. Use the black like an accent color more than a full-blown panel color.

It's kind of like chrome, where when done in small amounts looks good, but quickly becomes cheezy when you start adding it to everything.

Yep i agree... Either like the "Old" or use the PTM with the black grille

I liked the old look better too. The chrome grille flows much better with the chrome bumpers.

You're half way there -- go back to the body-colored surround and you'll have a real sharp set-up.....
