hes only trying to help you. just because you replaced the switch does not mean it is functioning as it should.

i think he was trying to suggest to you to check the switch for functionality in regards to open and closed electrical circuits. check the switch with a multimeter and verify it is working as it should. then make sure you have it positioned on the truck (i dont no if its adjustable, i imagine it is) so that when the pedal is all the way up the switch knows this and turns off the light.

as an afterthought, i have heard in the past that when the braking system detects a fluid leak it illuminates the light.

if your switch proves to be all right pay very close attention to the brake fluid reservoir and if it begins to drop you have your problem. and i mean very close attention. i would hate to read about a F150 that slammed on his brakes and blew the lines apart while driving down a winding mountain road.

good luck
