lifts and gears?

ok im stuck between two options. i have a 2007 ford f150 xl reg cab 2wd v6. im either goin to put a 6in pro comp suspension lift and 35x12.50's, or a 3" levelin spacer and a 1.5 rear block but i still want 35x12.50's i dont know if they'd fit. Now if i get the 6" which is what i want then do i need to upgrade the gears? im new at this my other trcuks i've owned i bought already lifted.

lift size doesn't affect gears. tire size does.

with the v6 and 35's you will want 4.56 gears.

you can't fit 35's technically on a 2wd w/ a leveling kit. i've seen it done with a lesser aggressive tire (bfg at's on both trucks i saw) if you want 35's get a 6" kit. there is a skyjacker kit on ebay for $1099 shipped that another member just bought. you will need aftermarket wheels with any suspension lift though, most kits suggest 4 1/2" backspacing. rim size anything 17" or bigger will work

you don't have to, but that v6 will probably struggle. at a minimum i'd get a tuner for the truck, but gearing on the v6 would probably be a good idea at some point down the road.
