Another Tire/Lift Question
Hi yall! I guess I could start off telling you what is on my truck, so here goes... I have a black screw with a 3" leveling kit up front and a AAL in the rear. I have 33's on 17 " procomp 6001 wheels and my question is, can I put 37's on the truck if I install a body lift? A buddy is selling his cheap to me and I couldn't pass it up. I need new tires and I would like to get the biggest I can fit under the wheel wells! Is their anyone out their that can help? I know I can fit 35's, but I'd like to go bigger if possible. Pictures are always welcome!
oh btw, my wife will not let me get a suspension lift yet because we have a 1 and 3 year old.... I just wanted to throw that out there in case someone couldn't resist to say, " just get a suspension lift and then the 37's" lol...
Ive seen it done there is a guy around my town that had that combo don't know about wheel specs and all that good stuff but you are gonna need to re gear bad... Also it will look really stuffed and will rub quite a bit if you leave the pavement... I would just get a body lift and try it if they don't fit just get 35"s since you need tires anyway. Keep in mind a body lift to install at a shop is usually about $1000 range so it is not that much cheaper than suspension unless you plan on doing it yourself just something to think about.
I'm doing the lift myself with a few others. I have seen some of the f150's that have the "stuffed" look and I'm not a big fan of that. I like a lot of side wall on my tires, so I wonder if 35x13.50x17 will be ok. I can do some trimming if need be. I just want a taller & wider tire since the 33's look small now. I called a few tire stores to see if they carred 35's and 33's so I could compare the two but nobody had them. Anybody on here have a pic that can compare the two tires? It would help a lot!
