Please help me find a leather shifter cover!?

So the chrome piece on the top of my shifter fell off and I had used some super glue to attach it back on and ended up getting glue on the shifter itself. I had used some 3M adhesive remover to get it off and it worked but also took some of the finih off the shifter. So now I'm looking for a leather cover to hide it.
I've looked everywhere online and can't seem to find a place/someone that sells these. Can someone tell me where I can find a leather shifter cover?
Thanks in advance guys!

Sb

Ok I called a local upholstery shop and explained that I needed the shifter wrapped in leather and asked how much for something like this and his response was " your looking at $50-$75.
I said I didn't need it to look factory or anything just something to slip on and stitch up. Needles to say I won't be going by there!
It would be nice just to order a pre made one. Have been online for the last hour looking for one but still no luck?

A long time ago there was a guy on here, "Ranch-it-out" I think, that made and sold them for about $50. When it comes to low volume, custom pieces, you have to pay to play.

sblue, what year is your truck. Since your talking about the chrome cap on the shifter, I'm guessing you have the flow thru shifter/console combo. If your truck is a 2007 or 2008 then your in luck because you can swap on a Mark LT leather shifter handle in about 5 minutes. Here is what it looks like.

And it is an original ford part. # 5L3Z-7213-T

That's exactly what my shifter looks like but my truck is an 04 Super Crew Lariat (new body style). Will this still work?
Thanks for the help!

Do they have that in Tan, that would be awesome. I looked on Tasca parts and it says handle assembly for $48.39. I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right one it doesn't have a pic or details on the part.

The 04-06 f150 shifters were different internally from the mark lt's in 07 ford put the same shifter in both trucks so a swap is a simple bolt in. You can put an lt shifter in your truck but you will have to modify the internal mechanism on the new handle to make it work. Another option is find a complete shifter out of a lincoln mark lt and swap the whole unit into your truck and then you can use the leather covered lt handle.

The main difference is on the 04-06 150 handles the button slides in to take it out of park, the LT handle and the 07-08 150's had a button that pivoted at the top.

I know they made LT's with tan interiors but I've never seen one so I don't know if the shifter was tan also. If they do exist, the part # would be different. The number I posted is for the black one. Ford traditionally just changes the suffix when there is a color change so the number would probably be something like this 5L3Z-7213-?? I would call tasca and ask if they exist and what is the part #
