Long Row to Hoe
Long Row to Hoe
Hey yall from the Deep South. I'm new to the site but I have been trolling around for a good little while now and I like what I have seen.
Ok enough with the introductions lets move on to my truck.
I bought the truck almost 2 years ago with some front damage and rebuilt it to what it is today and it is a ongoing project that will probly never be finished until I find one of those flux capacitors and go back and bet on all the winning teams lol. Onto the pics

Thanks. It has been fun. I work on the truck when I can and spend some cash on it every once in a while but all in all it has been a good project and a neverending one at that
Thanks

Welcome to the forum, good job on the fix, if you haven't showed pics of it being in a wreck I would have believe you not.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it, as is/salvage title?
Who did you buy it from, for sale by owner, salvage yard, auction.....?

Nice job on the truck, reminds me of how I got my wife her Subaru Forester.

Bought 03 like this in May 2007 with 51K on it $3,500.

One month and $2,200 later in parts, fix in back yard, friend painted new Subie hood and fender to match old fender, I bolted on with all other parts .... 100% Subie. Good match! 30 mpg.

Why do you park with the wheels cut? Leaving it parked like that makes it easier for someone else to clip just a wheel and do some damage unseen until later. Also makes it harder on neighbors trying to walk between cars parked at the apartments. Also makes it easier if one day you get a call or other distraction as you start to leave, maybe even an emergency, and suddenly you hit a parked car .... or pole like I did back in 1976 at Barker Jennings Corp. on Church Street bending a tie rod end and wrinkling a fender of my 1970 Chevy CST-10 402 BB pickup that I was so proud of. Buddy with me distracted me as we were leaving.
For that and other reasons as well, I also almost never ever pull into a parking spot that I'll have to back out of later. It's much easier & safer to back in while you know no one is behind you and then pull out later when leaving.

Ok to answer a couple of questions 1st I have about 10 grand in the truck Its an 04 with 80,000 on it and I put 10,000 of them on it in the past 2 years and 2nd bought it from a place in Alabama guy specialized in rebuild-able title cars and this one was special go wrote off on insurance but was never totaled so it has a good non rebuilt title and I live in Starkville MS home of the MSU BullDogs Hail State and for the last one the wheels were cut to give it more of a "cooler" look when taking pics lol most of the time they are strait.

Wasn't a flame, just a way of calling attention to the turned wheels. Didn't know it was just for the pictures. Seen enough vehicles damaged as another tried to squeeze in and while missing the body they saw, hit the wheel they didn't see. Sure, their ins will pay if they stick around, but far better to not have to cross some bridges.
