4.6 Performance suggestions/tips
Whats up guys?!
I'm a noobie so bare with me.
I'm not sure if i posted in the right forum but here i go.
I have regular cab with a 4.6. It currently has a diablosport predator programmer installed as well as a custom flowmaster exhaust.
I am wanting to make my 4.6 a beast.
I was hoping i could get some tips or suggestion on what i should do to get the best performance i can out the 4.6.
Some specifics would come in handy.
I was thinking maybe:
Gears (what kinda/type idk
Cam
Higher stall
Intake for sure
Any tips or suggestions would help me out.
Thanks!

Supercharger, custom tunes, new muffler, headers, gear, etc, still not gonna be really fast unless you put a fair amount of money into it...

On a serious note, here's a list of stuff to look into.
1) True dual exhaust with performance oriented mufflers, not Flowmaster
2) Long tube headers
3) Gears 4:10 or higher
4) Custom tunes
Once you get all that stuff done, start looking towards forced induction.
Two companies do. Stainless Works and Pace Setter. The latter being the cheapest and lowest quality.

i dont know your circumstances on how you came about getting your truck, but if you wanted a beast why not get the 5.4 and build it up?

Reg cab 5.4 trucks are pretty hard to find, especially after 2005. There have been a few but they are pretty rare.
depending on how much money you got to throw at this thing but if i had alot id get some aftermarket heads and intake along with everything elc people said and maybe some higher compression pistons and get it dyno tuned.
