Question 4.6 Performance suggestions/tips

Whats up guys?!
I'm a noobie so bare with me.
I'm not sure if i posted in the right forum but here i go.
I have regular cab with a 4.6. It currently has a diablosport predator programmer installed as well as a custom flowmaster exhaust.
I am wanting to make my 4.6 a beast.
I was hoping i could get some tips or suggestion on what i should do to get the best performance i can out the 4.6.
Some specifics would come in handy.

I was thinking maybe:
Gears (what kinda/type idk
Cam
Higher stall
Intake for sure
Any tips or suggestions would help me out.
Thanks!

Paint it!

White regular cab trucks are *always* slower than black regular cab trucks!

Supercharger, custom tunes, new muffler, headers, gear, etc, still not gonna be really fast unless you put a fair amount of money into it...

You might be on to something here!

On a serious note, here's a list of stuff to look into.

1) True dual exhaust with performance oriented mufflers, not Flowmaster
2) Long tube headers
3) Gears 4:10 or higher
4) Custom tunes

Once you get all that stuff done, start looking towards forced induction.

I don't think anybody makes long tube headers for the 4.6 truck. Do you have a secret?

Two companies do. Stainless Works and Pace Setter. The latter being the cheapest and lowest quality.

i got the black part covered, but does the flareside perform better than the styleside? lol

i dont know your circumstances on how you came about getting your truck, but if you wanted a beast why not get the 5.4 and build it up?

Obviously Flaresides perform better.

Reg cab 5.4 trucks are pretty hard to find, especially after 2005. There have been a few but they are pretty rare.

What about UDP and E-Fans? Might not make it much faster, but will lower the amount of parasitic loss. Just don't ask the folks at Troyer which belt you need, they have no idea for 4.6's...

Gears and a custom tune should help substantially.

depending on how much money you got to throw at this thing but if i had alot id get some aftermarket heads and intake along with everything elc people said and maybe some higher compression pistons and get it dyno tuned.
