bad experience at the dealer.. LETS HEAR EM!!
Pinon seal went out and i didnt know. Had my truck for 2 months. Truck had 36900 miles on it. Rear end blew apart on I75 in lexington ky. Snapped my drive shaft in half cracked transfer case and transmission. Had mud on the underside of the truck where I was on my friends farm. Truck is fx4 and dealer wouldnt pay for it because I took a 4x4 truck offroad. I was like it says offroad on the *******ing bed. They said they dont care. I am military and was in uniform on my way to work and talked to me like I was 5. O ya i was doing 75 mph when it exploded sending me sideways and towards the concrete barrier and barely missed it. Needless to say I had to pay for a rental for a week and for all the parts and a junk yard rear end since they said they couldnt get one. They didnt even change the fluid out of the rear end. 8000 dollars later. I havent stepped foot in that dealersip and got the service advisor moved to a different area.
About 10 years ago my dad had a seal blow on his 91 F250 and it dropped all the oil. Towed it to the dealership and they replaced the seal. Only problem was they used a Chevy part since they didn't have any in stock and it was the wrong size.
Long story short my sister had just started driving at the time and it was her after school get to the barn to see her horses vehicle. Well it blew the seal (shocker I know) and dropped all the oil pressure. Her being the genious she is and a new driver figured she could make it a 1/2 mile to the barn so she wouldnt get stranded. Engine ran without any oil and seized. Dad went back and forth with the dealer and they finally agreed to pay for 3/4 of the engine to replace the block etc.
Never have gone back to that dealership except for test drives since it's closer to my current house. Would never do business with them since not only are they complete A-holes and liars...but even with 10 years gone by they still treat their customers like crap and are some of the most arrogant people I have ever ran across.
They also had their SVT and Saleen license pulled about 5-6 years ago after they were caught drag racing the new vehicles off the trucks that had already been purchased by buyers. They ended up damaging one of the vehicles and still pawned it off to the buyer who spent the next 6 months in and out of the service department attempting to fix the vehicle thinking it was a lemon. I was lucky enough to hear him talk highly of the dealership in our weekly car club meetings when I had my stang.
I tell everyone I know to stay clear of the dealership and always feel bad for people when I see them driving around town with that dealership's plates.

Dealer down the street had a complete show room renovation done after some guy drove his mustang into it and set it on fire.....SHOCK!? NO. Months before my pops bought his 2000 superduty on special order a month after the expected ship date. Dealer personnel were scared to see the guy walk in asking for his Super Duty
UPDATE- i talked to the dealer and there head technician was driving it all weekend and he returned it friday night becuase he was scared it would break down and leave him stranded. so i am now getting a new engine and only have to pay the $100 deductable for the warranty.
Dont buy an aftermarket warranty eh? haha ill take $100 deductable over thousands of dollars for a engine any day.

Does it have to be a Ford dealer? My dad was driving a Nissan Frontier and had gotten a letter from the Nissan dealer he bought it from stating that they were buying used Nissans for 125% of KBB value as some sort of special
So, he took it in. It was a 2007 with less than 35K miles. It had KBB value on a 'fair' trade of ~$11 or 12K. The dealer offered him $10K. Upon being shown the letter my old man had received, the guy goes, you know what, I'll give you $10K, like a smartass. Later that night, my dad filed a complaint against the dealership to BBB and the Illinois consumer protection bureau. Doing that, he found out that the dealership has an F rating (one of the lowest BBB I've ever seen) and there were several complaints about similar sneaky business practices.

I will not say where. I have jammed a pocket knife into the "negotiation" table at a Nissan dealer for not returning my keys (I had asked for them several times and we were getting no where with negotiations) after appraising my trade-in. My keys were promptly returned.
I bought my '07 F150 from Summit Dodge in Syracuse. They also own a Ford dealership. In their ad they advertised a $50. gas card with purchase. When we were closing the deal, I showed the salesman the ad & I get a b.s. line that the "woman who handles that isn't in today, but we'll send your card as soon as possible". It's been 2 weeks & you guessed it, they stiffed me. I emailed them & they ignored me. Hey $50 bucks ain't a lot, but I think it shows the integrity of a business when they screw a customer out of a measly $50 gas card after having given them thousands of dollars for a vehicle. Pretty pathetic, but this won't be my last vehicle purchase & when the time comes, I'll stay away from Summit in Syracuse.
