Gryphon Upgrade or Hi-Flow Cats?

I am looking to up the performance of my truck a little more and am thinking about upgrading my Edge to a Gryphon with the 87 performance tune or adding hi-flow cats. I will probably eventually do both of these but I am wondering which I should do first or if there are any other performance upgrades I could do tht would be better with a maximum cost of 200. I have an Edge set to Level 3, K&N intake, and Corsa SISO exhaust currently.

Thanks for your help!

P.S. If LT headers are the best option then I will save up some more and get those, but I don't think they are the best based on what I've read.

I do believe that with the hi-flos or LT headers, you will need a custom tune. So, they need to be done at the same time.

Upgrade to a Gryphon first along with custom tunes....
Then save your money up and get the LTs with HFCs.....Then get your tunes rewritten for them.....

Thanks for the help. But I thought I read on the php forum that it is not necessary to custom program for hi-flow cats and I like the idea of a slightly louder exhaust. Please let me know if this is wrong... Thanks!

Not for the HFCs but yes for the LTs you mentioned at the end of your original post.....

Go with the upgrade to gryphon... You will probably get the most benefit out of it.. then get your High Flows and LT's..

Ditto.....
Do Hi-Flows add all that much power though?

By themselves? No.

As a supporting mod? A bit.

No intake or simple exhaust mod (not including a full-on complete system upgrade, for which tuning is recommended anyway) is ever going to approach the overall gains & driveability benefits of a good custom tune.

A completely stock truck with just a good custom calibration, will always outperform another similar truck with intake and/or exhaust mods, by a wide margin. Provided you haven't pookered yer gearing with clownish balloon tires

On a 'bang-fer-buck' basis, it can't be beat.

BTW before I'd even consider a cat 'upgrade' (almost a non-sequitur), I'd focus on replacing that horrible factory 'Y'-pipe.
