150 to 250 Engine Differences

Ok here is a simple question. Well sorta..

What is the difference between the 250 and the 150 engine?
Are the blocks, Engine mounts, Heads the same?
I know the Timing cover is different.

The big part is, are the blocks the same. Can I use the Block off a 250 for my 150?

Info:
I have:
2006 F150 5.4 3v 4x4
Plus an spare engine with Good heads, intake, etc. Block is cracked.

Looking at:
2004 F250 5.4 as a donor engine for block Poss heads if they are the same so I don't have to change them.

Thanks for all the help in advance...Yes I did do a search prior to putting out this thread..

250's did not get the 3v heads on the 5.4's until 05. The 04's were still the old 2v style. I believe the blocks are the same but the pistons are different between the 2v and 3v. Your better off finding a 3v donor engine, lees work to convert it over for your truck

Thanks Red, I thought so But wasn't sure..

There is a Public auction in Three weeks. Might try my luck there and maybe pick up a cheap donor truck for a decent price if I am lucky..
