When going that route, the handle usually chips the paint on the buckets some. Not worth it.

so you just had to pull the door panels off to take off the handles?

Yep I used this video for taking the panels off. Start with the pass side rear. That was the easiest one because there wasn't anything for the handles but a latch. (well that goes for both rears)

It's pretty straight forward. My handles were stuck pretty good so I gave them some forward motion with a hammer and a piece of wood. Very gently of course

Definitely an upgrade! I want to do this...as well as the fender flares and mirror caps. Are you going to do your flares?

Are you going to paint the part of the mirror that attaches to the frame? I wonder what it looks like. I guess you'd have to paint the entire mirror since there isnt really a stopping point. I'd definitely do it if it isnt too expensive. Of course, my truck is black so it would just blend in better.

Thought about that but I'm gonna stick to the mirror caps. Paint guy only wants $50 to do it

Already done the flares, mirror caps and LT handles along with 09 badges.
