Stalling Issue
Hesitation/chugging Issue
I have a 2004 f-150 FX4, 4X4, V-8 5.4L. I was traveling home the other night and had the cruise set about 75. All of a sudden I heard a clunk and the engine shut off. I tried to re-start it, but with no luck, battery died. Had it towed home, charged the battery and boom it started, but wouldn't continue to run, it sputtered and stalled..
So I replace the original battery, (New plugs 3 months ago, Fuel filter changed 15,000 miles ago),Today I cleaned the M.A.F. sensor, cleaned the throttle body out and checked the Fuel pump drivers module connection. Drove for 10 miles and idled great then after 15 min it started to sputtered and I reved the motor up to 2000 rpm for a minute and it stopped. Just curious what the issue may be. No check engine light or anything else coming on... Any suggestions??? Fuel Pump/ FPDM, TPS??? Thank you.
Etc: Drove it to work on Monday and it had some serious chugging and hesitation issues. Made it the 10 miles, but it was tough...
