Does Anyone Regret buying their F150
#91
Well hopefully this falls underneath this category. Anyways my question for yall is do any of yalll regret buying your F150. After the cruise control issue, vct cam pashers, broken 2 piece spark plugs , under powerd 5.4 liters, power window issues etc. What I am asking is if you didnt have your f150 what would you be in? exclude(lambos ferris porsches mustangs camaros etc) Truck wise. I guess this mainly applys to the 03-05 owners. I hear the 07 and up are a Much bigger step up. Just lay it all out there for me.
No.

But I have overloaded my 150 on three trips in the same day with far more weight than it was ever maid for and I had NO issues at all. 300 gallons of water in a tank in the BED.
I had to go up a hill, a very steep hill on the back roads, I am gonna guess a 20-30% (was steep, like logging road steep) grade and it pulled up the hill and got moving with no problem.
2500# counting the tank with a weight of water at 8lbs/gallon and the tank read 300 gallons before it was full, so about 305/310 gallons.
its plenty fast enough for a truck, its a truck not a sports car. Ive pulled cars with it, namely my friends 95 Lincoln a few times. pulled stuck trucks/cars out of ditches and all of manners of things.
My 06 5.4L with my tuner has plenty enough power, even on 245's
power window issues
What I am asking is if you didnt have your f150 what would you be in?
Maybe, just maybe a dodge cause I love how they look.
same here.
only ever had to replace the battery and tires, brakes too. nothing major. not bad for a 5 year old truck nearing 60K.

My problem when I looked at the Titans was the cheap-looking interior. I was torn between the two, but went with the F150 after having seen the Lariat interior compared to the Titan's luxury interior. They were also another few grand more expensive, too. I was looking at the Pro-4X model and then read about the 4x4 axle issues they were having and decided to pass. I like their utili-trak system and bed-side storage though.

No regrets. Maybe just one... I wish I never put on my old Gibson Aluminized cat back system. Two years and rusted off.. Now I have a Stainless Magnaflow system. It wasn't a fault of the trucks though. Just bad judgement on my end.
I never had a vehicle that I enjoyed getting into as much after 3 years of ownership. I plan on keeping it another 3-4 years.

I'll put it to you this way....I owned a 2005 F150 4x2 4.6L XL from April 05 to May of 2010. In that time period I put on 130,000 TROUBLE FREE miles except for a tranny rebuild that was probably the fault of the hot tune I was running! I sold that truck to get a 4x4 and was driving an old F250. I bought my current 2005 last week and I have to say that the XLT Supercrew 4x4 is treating me very well. I detect no sluggishness in my 5.4! Furthermore, the truck just rolled over 30,000 today so she still smells and feels new. So I guess you could say, as a repeat customer, I don't regret it.

id like to know why our trucks are so hit and miss. its either people put hundreds of thousands of miles on them with no problems, or they end up replacing half of the damn truck.
i talked to a guy who bought an 04 brand new, and needed a new trans with 9 thousand miles on the truck. 9 thousand miles is all. he was either driving it like it was a mustang, or something was out of whack from the factory.
im a big advocate for changing fluids before ford says they are due to be changed. at 50k my trans filter and pan didnt look too clean, it defiantly wasn't ready to truck on to 160k for its first change. when i do my diff fluid this summer it will probably have between 60-80 k on it and im sure it wont be as clean as ford planned on it being.
