Engine fail safemode

Hello all, This morning, for thesexond time, my truck stopped in the middle of the freeway. I would give it gas, but it was as if te truck was off. the display read "engine fail safemode". I then pulled over to the aide to turn off the trauck and turn it back on,(since if happened before, I knew
what to do). Why could it be? any help appreciated.

truck is a 2006 5.4 supercrew 4x4

My truck did this and the code indicated that the Throttle Control Motor was deactivated due to a dirty throttle body. I cleaned the throttle body and no more problem.

Mine did this 3 times, twice completely shut off, and once no power dead gas pedal. Turns back on and runs fine.

Mine did this as well.

Clean the throttle body and replace your TPS (throttle position sensor). Mine hasnt done it since. Would randomly do it every 2-3 months in all driving conditions. It finally did it getting off the freeway and thru a CEL. Got it fixed the next day for cheap.
