my 2005 ford f150 making grinding sound from front end only happens itermittantly when in 2 wheel dr when it happens i can put the auto 4x4 on then go back to 2 wheel and is fine atleast for a while i have changed the 4x4 solienoid still does it. helpppppppppp!

could it be you have another bad solenoid? or could be there is a vacumn leak in the lines going to the iwe

 

Remember that if the solenoid was bad for long enough, it will take out an IWE - or two. Fortunately, replacing IWEs isn't all that difficult.
