Okay about your New seat project I got some news for you. If you are going to put those in out of a lariat your going to have switch out the interior harness for one from a lariat. Kinda a pain in the *** but not hard to do and it also allows you to use any other parts out of a lariat that you could want including the 6 disc in dash dvd player that was an option. So basically you are going to have to switch the harness again it is a weekend project that will be time consuming and filled with zip lock bags with a permanant marker in your future. Not really to expensive. My local dealership charges $1100 to install the seats and make them heated. So if you do all work your self and pick up some seats and a controller out of a lariat in a good salvage yard that matches your taste you could do the project for around $500 thats all salvage yard parts not e-bay or any dealer items. I hope this helped. Sry for the bummer news but I would look at this in a positive way because if you do it you will have a lariat interior which is real nice if you ever plan on selling the truck.

:Edit: Sorry I was wrong on the price It's $1100 if you supply the seats and controller and they supply the Lariat harness and install it for you. But if the dealership supplies all parts plus labor it would be $2200 out the door... Forgot to add this above.

Local upholstery shop advertises heated seat conversions. You might want to check where you are.

I think though he is trying to utilize a factory system. Makes more sense really, because not only does it look nice as hell it is also a money maker for the truck to have a factory lariat system inside of a XLT. It shows to me anyways that someone took the time to actually care for there truck and put some serious time and care in doning a project like that. My local dealership told me to get the leather seats all power with a Factory HVAC controller that also controls the seats and a Lariat harness would run about $2200 when it was all said and done. $1100 if I had the seats and the controller and they supplied the harness and did the install.
